We would like to present two new dogs in our continuing series, introducing our viewers to dogs that are available for adoption at the North Hempstead Town Shelter in Long Island. I visited the shelter with my granddaughter Samantha, who is very visible at the end of the video. Sam had a most enjoyable time playing with both of the dogs we are featuring today, along with all of the other dogs just waiting for you and your friends and family to come and take them home.
Today you will meet Sophie, a pedigree Cocker Spaniel. Sophie is a very gentle dog, and Gus is a very lovable senior Pug. Please tell anyone you know who would like some companionship about these two great dogs -- or better yet, pay them a visit at:
Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter: 75 Marino Avenue (West of Port Washington Boulevard)
Port Washington, New York 11050
Phone Number: (516) 869-6311
The Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter is committed to providing a clean, healthy facility for the humane care and housing of stray and abandoned dogs and their placement in new homes.
If you don't live in New York and can't make it to this animal shelter, make sure to visit a shelter where you live. Shelter dogs make great pets. If you're a senior living alone or a parent or grandparent, a dog can keep you company and bring you much pleasure.
