Maurice Maslen lives near Hollywood, movie capital of the world. When he retired, he searched for something to do with his time, and found that life can be very interesting, even when you're approaching 90. Mark Twain said: "Age is an issue of mind over matter, If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter." Perhaps that's something that we who have passed over to "the other side of 50" should keep in mind.

Congratulations, Maurice! It is so wonderful to hear your story. You are a testament to having the best possible life on the other side of 50. Keeping an open and optimistic perspective and a willingness to try what comes up certainly gives life meaning. I love that you took an opportunity—being a TV and movie extra—and grew it into something that clearly brings you joy…and who else can say that they have been a stand-in Pope! You are an inspiration. Good luck and enjoy as you continue to work as an “extra” and add extra to your life.
