This video is the 7th in our Space Coast series. Overlapping with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida is 140,000 acres of unspoiled beauty known as the Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge. The 500 different species of wildlife living here get a front row seat to the space shuttle launches. Visitors to the sanctuary can view a variety of birds and other wildlife from the many driving and walking trails as well as get a closeup view of Manatees. The sanctuary boasts a variety of recreational activities such as boating, hiking, and fishing as well as a beautiful stretch of beach and handicap accessible trails. Seeing the launch pad from the sanctuary is a special experience and driving through the refuge is phenomenal for anyone who enjoys nature and the outdoors. In this video, see photos of the refuge as Green Jenine interviews Refuge Ranger Nancy Corona about this amazing sanctuary.
