Stresa, located on Manhasset, Long Island’s Miracle Mile, is among the best Italian restaurants in New York. The atmosphere is elegant, the service is outstanding and customers are pampered and treated graciously. Giorgio Meriggi, one of the owners of Stresa, told me that he sends his chefs to Italy with some frequency to learn new recipes. Whatever they are doing is certainly working well. Whether you are ordering fish, poultry, pasta or one of their many specialty dishes, you will have a delightful dining experience at Stresa. Their desserts are incredibly delicious; however, their flourless chocolate cake is my favorite and, without a doubt, the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted.
