SKIING: Courmayeur has a variety of terrain for all levels & tastes … wide-open slopes, trees runs, moguls, off-piste options … all accompanied by jaw-dropping views of Mont Blanc. For a lunch of fresh pasta and local wine, it’s 27 charming slopeside restaurants are unparalleled in the Alps. Your skipass also affords the opportunity to ski several other areas in the Valle d’Aosta. Pila is a sunny local area above the ancient Roman market town of Aosta (great for shopping & sightseeing!) La Thuile is linked to the French resort of La Rosier, so you can ski two countries in one day. Intermediate skiers will also not want to miss the famous “Vallee Blanche” (White Valley), a superb 11 mile glacier run across the border from Courmayeur to Chamonix.

HOTEL: The family-run Hotel Courmayeur enjoys a perfect location in the town center, with a short 5-minute walk to the ski lifts. Completely renovated a few years ago, it has a restaurant featuring delicious regional specialties, a relaxing bar and comfortable lounge with fireplace. All rooms are decorated in a rustic style and have private baths with hairdryers, phones and satellite TV’s. Wireless internet access is complimentary and a lap top is available for a nominal fee.
