Movie Review: “Men in Black 3” (+)
June 4, 2012
I did not see the prior two films but decided to see this one after a friend whose judgment I trust said he had a terrific time watching it. He was absolutely right. It is a wonderful spoof.
The story involves lots of explosions, special effects and hardware. When it begins Boris the Animal (Jemaine Clement), an assassin from another planet, is a prisoner in a facility built especially for him on the moon. He escapes and seeks through time travel to return to a day in 1969 before his left arm was shot off by Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones), hoping to recover his limb.
Will Smith (Agent J) is Agent K’s loyal partner. Josh Brolin portrays Agent K as a younger man. Adding to the pleasure of the film is the presence of Emma Thompson as Agent O. She looks smashing and is terrific in her role as supervisor of Agents J and K. The acting is very good, particularly that of Jemaine Clement.
I didn’t think I would be so taken with this movie, but I was and recommend it to you for an evening of pleasure.
