With Memorial Day weekend arriving in just a few days, you might want to bar-b-cue. Here is a unique recipe for Greek Hamburgers with yogurt dip. Everyone will love them.
1-1/2 pounds of lean chopped meat
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon mint
1 teaspoon parsley
1 medium onion chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unseasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoons warm water
2 large eggs
Mix all of the ingredients together with the meat and make into patties. Let stand for approximately 1 hour. Grill or broil the hamburgers to your liking.
JAJIKI - (Yogurt Dip)
1 medium cucumber peeled, shredded and drained.
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons vinegar
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons fresh dill
3 cloves of crushed garlic
8 oz. organic Greek yogurt
Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to eat. To drain the cucumber quickly, place it in a cloth dish towel and squeeze out the liquid. Place hamburgers on a platter and serve with yogurt dip, feta cheese, thin tomato slices and fresh parsley.
