Changes in Healthcare to Take Effect This Year

With all that has been written about the healthcare Bill, I wanted to understand what parts of the bill would take effect in the near future.  The following appear to be the changes that will take place within the next few months:
 

1. 1)  Those of us who are covered by the Medicare prescription drug policy and who fell into the donut hole will receive a $250 rebate

 
2)  Small business owners will receive tax credits to purchase health care
 
3)  New insurance plans will be required to offer preventative care to their customers
 
4)  People with preexisting conditions will have access to health insurance
 
5)  Within 90 days of the bill taking effect, insurers will no longer be allowed to deny coverage to children with preexisting conditions
 
6)  No lifetime caps on coverage
 
7)  Children will be allowed to stay on their parents' policies until they turn 26
 
There are other parts to the Healthcare Bill.  The above only focuses on what will take place within the first year.
 
What does seem logical is if you are considering a change in career or if you have older children or grandchildren searching for a field of study beyond high school that will lead to a job, seeking out a career in healthcare technology may be the way to go.  In case you hven't noticed, technical schools that train people to work the various equipment in hospitals and doctors' offices have suddenly increased their advertising.  This may be one way of creating new jobs for our economy.  Only time will tell.
